Somewhere in the western United States is, "The Last Best Place!"
We believe we have found it!
High in the Rocky Mountains, where water flows over rocks from the basement of time, three rivers join to carve the magnificent canyons of the mighty Missouri River.
Teeming with wildlife such as Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep, Moose, Elk, Deer, and Bears, the area along the river is overshadowed by the aquatic life in the Missouri River. Rainbow, and Brown Trout have a tremendous natural reproducing population that averages five thousand fish per mile. The Missouri River also boasts Cutthroat trout, Brook trout, and Rocky Mountain Whitefish in lesser numbers.
Nestled in a small canyon on the shoulders of Sugarloaf Mountain, Scenic Valley Outfitters & Lodge overlooks the endless vista of the river, canyons, and mountains.
Scenic Valley Outfitters and Lodge is conveniently located halfway between Great Falls International and Helena Regional airports. Just a five minute drive south is the bustling community of Craig. With three fly shops, a bar and restaurant, Craig is the hub of all fly fishing activity on the Missouri River.
Take a traditional approach to fly-flishing and fish the Missouri River for Rainbow and Brown Trout. We offer full guide services along with lodge accommodations for the discriminating fly-fisher.
